Medicine starts with listening

Children's hematology and oncology

  • Hematology and Oncology
  • Hematology and oncology encompass diseases of the blood and tumor-related illnesses. I want to quickly and uncomplicatedly assist you or your child in case of a relevant suspicion. It is important to know that malignant tumors must be treated at a specialized center. In this regard, I collaborate closely with colleagues at the University Hospital in Tübingen.

  • Ultrasound
  • Ultrasonography is of great importance in children and adolescents. It is quick, non-intimidating, and does not involve radiation exposure. In cases of suspected cancer or blood disorders, it is a part of the diagnostic process, and sometimes it allows for the confident exclusion of conditions such as tumors. I had the opportunity to learn this method at the Children's Hospital in Ulm during over 7000 documented ultrasound examinations covering the entire spectrum of pediatric medicine, and I would like to offer you the benefit of this experience. I am a member of the Ultrasound Commission of the Medical Association of Baden-Württemberg and a course instructor certified by the German Society for Ultrasound in Medicine (DEGUM).

  • Palliative Care
  • Palliative care in children and adolescents focuses on the care of patients with incurable diseases, especially those with severe multiple disabilities. It is crucial to listen carefully to the predominant symptoms that patients are experiencing and to alleviate suffering pragmatically and, if necessary, unconventionally using all available measures, both pharmacological and non-pharmacological.
